| | | Kconfigure | | Kconfigure 1.0 (386 Kb) | This program caters to that fear of the dark void on which UNIX was built: the command line. Most source code can be compiled with the simple command: "./configure; make; make install," as long as it's within the base directory of said package. This fancy KDE program is designed to do just that. The commands are run from the menu bar, and the program has the ability to specify arguments to the configure command. It's the same as if you were to type it in from the command line. If you really despise the command line, add this to your collection of X-based front ends to common simple commands. If you don't mind the occasional jaunts into the terminal, don't bother with this one. |
